Minister of Employment and Social Policies of the Basque Government presentation

Employment structures (training processes, production and new globalised markets) are currently undergoing a huge change. We need to prepare for this, undertaking the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Automation, new communications, logistics and digitalisation are taking root on the job market, thereby changing our current understanding of employment and organisational structures. The challenge facing companies, workers and agents responsible for defining employment promotion policies is identifying and acknowledging knowledge and skills. From 5-7 November 2018, the Europa Congress Palace, located in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), will be hosting the "1st International Employment Congress: Challenges for a big change."  This congress will analyse "Changes in the world and their impact on employment," "The future of public policies for Employment and Inclusion," and "The role of job-creating agents."
Vitoria-Gasteiz, capital of Euskadi, is the perfect stage for these workdays, with plenty of urban, cultural and social charm.  The congress will host debates on traditional professional occupations, the need for training in new kinds of jobs, new ideas for work based on projects, traditional paid employment and the uptick of freelancers, digitalisation-favouring work beyond companies, dedication and participation in the company, local supply and global supply, platforms, creativity and initiative, and flexible professional organisations. What's more, we will tour companies in the surrounding area.
The Congress is geared toward Institutions and their employment and social policy departments, Autonomous Communities, Regions and Euro-Regions, European Institutions, business organisations, cooperatives and Chambers of Commerce from all over Spain and Europe, development agencies, employment companies, training companies, training centres, third social sector entities, parliamentary commissions and social agents. I would like to invite you to participate and promote initiatives to improve quality employment policies and management, ensuring sustainable economic progress and social cohesion in Europe.
